Named after the grandest of the New Hampshire White Mountains, The Mount Washington epitomized the steamboat era of Lake Winnipesaukee, NH. Built in 1872, The Mt. Washington served the people of Lake Winnipesaukee continuously and faithfully for 67 years. On the night of December 23, 1939, a dock fire ravaged The Mount Washington and marked the end of an era.
